It's not worth spending money just to install Win11. I bet the computer makers love the idea that Win11 will cause lots of people to buy new computers.

Since Microsoft offers Windows 11 upgrade for free I think the computer makers paid them to do do.

The weight and dimension section didn't appear for me. When I posted the description of the item, eBay immediately added the shipping cost. In the past, I would weigh and measure the box and print a label online with the exact cost. The buyer would pay that amount. I suspect that eBay lists a low shipping cost and makes up the difference itself. Or, they have a deal with the USPS to get lower rates.

Yes when I listed my Omega SCA-300 color analyzer they automatically chose the large flat rate box from USPS. I can fit the color analyzer in the box but with no cushion packing material.

Now buying is OK on ebay but not selling. I was selling a color analyer for the darkroom. I posted here for $100 but nobody interested and I do understand why as few UHH still do color darkroom. I listed it on ebay for $150 and there are several people wanted me to drop the price down to $125 but I didn't because if I drop down to $125 I wouldn't even get the $100 that I really want. I did sell it for $150 but it did take a long time.

I only use(d) them to load old software on a new computer.

Me too! In fact I never use a CD/DVD drive to play music or movies. I use a stand alone unit connected to a TV and stereo system for that.

Besides laptop computers, what kind of battery does your camera use? The last time I checked, most of them use lithium-ion.

Laptops, cell phones and cameras all use lithium ion batteries.

It's called an "all in one", and I'm typing on one now. The computer is inside of what looks like a monitor. Mine is about 5 years old now. I had a different one for about 7 years before that. The trend seems to be slow to develop.

I have an all in one in 1993 running Windows 3.1 but the trend now it toward tiny PC which is similar to the Mac mini. There is no room for anything.

I can't for the life of me see why they don't just label them S P A M !

Nikon labelled the MASP or if you read backward it's PSAM but nevr SPAM! Why? Because for Nikon like any other camera makers they had M first. Then they had A (Canon had Shutter priority mode before they have aperture priority mode but they never call them A and S but rather Av an Tv) before they had S and P that is why they follow that order.
Of course I don't know just thinking.....

People tend to think that LEDs work at very low temperatures, but they often requiring some kind f cooling.

LED works at lower temperture than incandescent light but is quite high could be 100C or so. And they would fail if they get any hotter than that. Incandescent generally works at 2700K which is around 2400C or higher.
I was wondering why incandescent light bulb generates a lot of heat but never need cooling but a 50W LED (true 50W not equivalent in brightness) would need serious cooling. Now I know the reason why.

Indeed, such as why did the breakers blow (twice).

The question is why did the breakers trip. Breakers when they tripped once and all you do is to reset them then very likely they will trip again.

The trend of desktop computer is that you eventually will no longer see the computer itself. Just the monitors, keyboard and mouse.

Just seen a report indicating that BYD has just had its 10th showroom fire. Fire was blamed on faulty roof wiring. It was pointed that this is the 10th wiring fire. So either way watch out for Chinese manufactured products. Either crappy lithium ion batteries or tofu wiring.

As SteveFranz question on the charger, do you know of a Lithium Ion battery that is not Chinese manufactured?

Now you lost me. The lever around the shutter button is to turn the camra on/off and to turn on the back light.
