Loved your whole series Diane. Brings back a lot of memories from when I lived close by this area.

Don

Hope I did your memories of this place justice, Don. It would be fun to go back again with tips from you (and a few others on UHH from the region) on photogenic areas less publicized.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful vacation, Diane.

Glad to see your photo sharing wasn't down for long--you certainly had some beautiful experiences to share from your East Coast travels!

These are the last of the images from my visit to the Gulf Coast. I thought the mosaic tile murals on the side of the Biloxi-Ocean Springs bridge were worth sharing because of the beautiful artwork. Near Weeks Bayou, I had the chance to watch the Osprey on the days leading up to the fledging of the next generation. The next four images are testament to the beautiful skies we had. And the last picture shows the Biloxi Lighthouse lit up in recognition of National Autism Awareness Month. Hope that those of you who followed the series enjoyed these snippets into the attractions along the coast. Thank you for your support and kind words--they are much appreciated!

As a teenage boy, this place was not on my normal " hit list ". However, I took my mother there on several occasions.

A company my father owned had a long-term contract with Ingalls Shipbuilding over in Pascagoula, MS. We lived in Pascagoula from 1952 through 1959. Both of my mother's brothers were doctors and had their practices in Mobile. Her father had several businesses and liver over near Foley, Alabama...where he was also the Mayor of the town.

I have followed your series about the the Gulf Coast with interest. I am very familiar with a lot of what you saw and have written about.

Those who post on UHH do so for many different reasons. I share my travels to provide inspiration/ideas to others who may be planning trips of their own--but it is always most rewarding when someone has had a chance to go down memory lane as a result of seeing familiar places through my lens. Glad you have enjoyed the series, Tom!

Thanks so much! That scene on Weeks Bayou conveys such serenity, don't you think?
