I remember, as a young boy in the 50s running outside when we heard that distinctive sound of a B36 going overhead. And the hullabaloo that occurred when one made an emergency landing at Gore Field west of Great Falls.

I'd really enjoy seeing, and hearing, a B-36 in flight. Sadly, there are none flying - well, as far as I know.

Enormous munition carriers. In 1969 I was TDY to U-Tapao RTAFB, which was a SAC base which was home to a squadron of B-52s. I became friends with a B-52 crew chief and we traded tours of each other's planes. I worked on EC 121 Super Constellations. I was amazed at the enormity of the payload capacity of the B-52 and at the same time how small the cockpit was. It's an amazing aircraft and as I said...HUGE!

Wanna see a gi-NORMOUS bomber? Wander over to the Airforce museum at Wright-Pat AFB & take a peek at a B-36. It dwarfs a B-52. A B-36's parking spot is roughly the size of a football field. Both aircraft are 'co-stars' in the Jimmy Stewart movie Strategic Air Command.

It has to do with the number of phones & phone customers that the phone system can handle. A typical phone exchange can have 10,000 phone numbers - xxx-0000 to xxx-9999. There's a limit on how many phones can actually make a call at any one time. I think that number is 100. So, 100 people are talking, customer 101 won't even get a dial tone until some else ends their call. At some point the telco will add another exchange to keep their customers happy. I imagine newer telco systems can have more customers making calls at the same time. In theory, a 10 digit phone number allows for 9,999,999,999 different phone numbers. Many of those numbers aren't available, though. For example, in the US you can't have a 911 area code or exchange number. Same with 811, 411 and other similar numbers. I won't even go into adding a country code to this mix.

As in why would anyone want to share those kinds of pictures!?

Well, I am STILL wondering how the OP intends to stick an endoscope INTO his foot and rummage around making photos, or just looking around.

Obviously not free to the person(s) who bought the gift cards.

Then again, why would anyone buy themselves gift cards?????

Here's why I buy myself gift cards. As others have mentioned Kroger has a rewards program. For each $ you spend at Kroger, you earn 1 fuel point. Collect 100 points, save $0.10 per gallon at the Kroger fuel pump. Collect the max of 1,000 points, save $1.00 on each gallon of fuel. Use a Kroger branded USBank credit card, save an additional $0.25 per, for a total of $1.25 off per gallon of fuel. Kroger also offers a Boost program. This did cost an additional $60.00 per year. As a Boost member, I earn 2x fuel points on most everything in the Kroger store. AND 4x fuel points on gift cards. Kroger has a multitude of gift cards, most are available for pick up with a grocery pick up order, up to 10 of any one card. These cards are activated on line for most any amount desired. Kroger also offers many MANY e-cards. These are ordered on line & are 'delivered' by email within a few minutes. Using these programs at Kroger, I have earned at least 1,000 fuel points each month, more than 2,000 points most months for nearly 2 years. I'm not sure how much I've saved on fuel, but I feel the savings is very much worth the effort. On top of these fuel points, Kroger offers a community rewards program. For each $ spent at Kroger, Kroger donates 1/2% to the charity or non-profit of my choice. Of course I choose the non-profit that I'm associated with. AND the Kroger branded USBank credit card offers 1/2% rebate on nearly all purchases. I earned about $600.00 last year using that credit card. I have accumulated 858 fuel points this month already, toward 1,000 and $1.25 off at the gas pump in a few days.

How did your DIY endoscopic foot exam work out for you? What endoscope device or camera did you get? Did you find any irregularities or anomalies? Have you discussed these results with your physician?

Thanks for telling me of the link to display MY pix on a Sony or other smart TV. I was attempting to ask the OP if HE could display HIS pix on HIS TV rather than watching the pix Sony provides. I obviously failed at this attempt.

I admit to not being much of a TV watcher, but I do like to listen to music and read and have the TV on in the background as sort of an "electronic fireplace." Some multi-channel streaming services offer nature photography, but they tend to be advertisement based, and even with the sound muted, these ads can be disruptive.

Sony, however, has capitalized on their powerhouse status as both an electronics giant as well as a camera maker, and has combined the two into a nifty, but often overlooked feature on their "smart" TVs.

I bought a Sony Bravia TV last year, and while it packs a lot of features into its 55" size, one thing that's easy for me to overlook is a feature called "Living Decor." This is a built-in app that runs a continuous slide show of landscape photography (or other categories, but I like the landscapes) taken by Sony cameras. The gimmick is that each scene is multiple captures - all by the same camera at the same location - at different times of the day. For example, the picturesque Austrian town of Halstadt during daylight, evening and fog. The camera and lens used is presented in a brief intro and the images are then faded into one another before moving on to another scene.

The photography is impressive, and I find it very relaxing to use when I'm not dedicating 100% of my attention to the television.

Thank you Bridges. Actually, I'm more worried about my dog getting bit. He's quite curious about 'bite sized' objects on the floor.

Would someone please identify this spider? I think it may be a wolf spider, seems a bit small, though. I hope it's not a brown recluse!

I apologize for the quality of the pic, too. It's a heavily cropped, one-handed iPhone capture in my kitchen.

Thanks in advance

ps And, there's no possibility of another pic of this spider. It's well squished, quite mangled & in the trash!

Serious replies, preferred.

Someone asked me to print a program for a play. I had done this before, and it's tricky. I printed in landscape, with the pages folded in the center, printed on both sides. One sheet of paper has both the first page and the last. When printing, you have to specify, "Auto (Long edge binding)" for two-sided printing. Every time I do a program, it's like learning all over again. There's probably a program program, but I always do it from scratch. Someone who is good with the Rubik's Cube would probably do fine with a program.

Here's a link to instructions for Libre Office Writer:

https://help.libreoffice.org/7.4/en-US/text/swriter/guide/print_brochure.html?&DbPAR=SHARED&System=WIN

I haven't tried to use it, haven't even read it completely, but it looks like it'll work for you. YMMV, of course. These instructions may actually 'translate' and work for your favorite WP program, too.

BTW - Libre Office is a 'free' option to MS Office.

Good luck with your project.

While AI is an interesting technology in the world of photos, videos, search engines, advertising, etc. etc., and with a myriad of legal and ethical concerns, it is my belief that there is NO SUCH THING as Artificial Intelligence.

I have used AI to produce strange and weird images, and will likely continue to do so...because it's fun!

Before retirement, I was in the IT field for many decades, and back even in the 2000's, the term and delivery of AI was in its infancy. It was the belief then, as now, that AI is produced by humans, humans writing computer programs, and as such takes on the characteristics and leanings of its authors/developers. A computer cannot think, it is just a series of 0's and 1's, created by some human, with a myriad of IF-THEN-ELSE logic. A computer cannot have emotions. When an AI deliverer want his program to react in a certain way, he programs it that way...it is a reflection of the developer. Such it is with AI that has permeated the world today.

While the term and delivery of AI is here to stay, we should always remember that in using AI, we are catering to the whims of the developer(s). We should not assign "intelligence" to a machine that can have no intelligence.

I wish my car's GPS would learn.

It's really a pretty rudimentary program. I tell it where I want to go and it knows where I am so it tries to chart a path for me to take. It knows which the major roads are and which the minor roads are. It sometimes knows which roads are one way.

I have a couple places I want to go that mix major and minor roads. My GPS has a tendency to choose the major roads preferentially. But as a result, it will pick a route that travels on a minor road until I want to get onto a major road. So the GPS takes me straight on the minor road to a stop sign. I then have to navigate onto the major road with a left turn through the stop sign. However, I know that there is a short cut on another minor road that crosses the major road at a traffic light. I always take it. My GPS has to recalculate each time. If it learned, it would be great. That way when I had a similar situation on a path I don't travel frequently enough to remember, it will choose the easier path through the traffic light so I don't have to make a left turn onto a busy highway.

I must admit that my phone does a better job in this regard. It doesn't learn but it knows the difference between a stop sign and a stop light on a major road. The only problem is that it doesn't integrate well with my car GPS. Hopefully the next car I buy will have higher intellegence and better integration between different systems. I would prefer to use the phone because it keeps updates with traffic and road changes. But the interface is so klunky that it's difficult to use it.

I really agree with the comment I have seen posted that the proper use of AI is for the mundane, repetitive tasks of life rather than the creative tasks. The problem is that the mundane repetitive tasks are physical (dishes and laundry) while the creative tasks are mental and don't require hands and feet.

How did they turn out, and where did you have them done?

I went to SFO over spring break to see my grand niece and took a few tours of the area. I got only ONE decent pic of the Golden Gate Bridge and I's like to get it printed, but if I used my printer, the best I'd be able to do would be 18x4". Googling, I closest match I found was that M-pix has a 5x30 paper print available (don't think it's available in metal), but I didn't check the price and I've never used them before. Opinions/suggestions?

Check with a local sign shop, see if they can help you. 'My' former sign shop could print about 46" wide by as tall as your images needed, 46" tall by as long as your image needed, or any variation in between - depending on the depth of your pockets, of course. We had a few choices of media, too. Good luck!
