Any suggestions
Thank you
I just sold a bunch of Canon bodies and lenses to them. They paid more than their original estimate. Dealing with them was quick and easy.
I recently attended a concert at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island. The website said "No detachable lenses." I brought my Sony RX10 IV. The security person said, "Does that lens come off?" I said, "No," and was good to go. Got some great shots and some video.
I think that I may have figured it out. These photos were taken in Jamaica, WI, and it is possible that, in taking the camera from an air conditioned room into the humid outside world, I may have gotten some condensation on the filter. I just took some pictures of a blank wall back home in NY, with and without the filter, and the effect is gone. Lesson learned, I guess.
I think that this forum is great, but today I'd like to ask for some help.
I took the enclosed photo with a Leica Monochrom, 50 mm f2 lens. As you can see, there are odd star-shaped artifacts all over the photo, which are repeated in all of the photos in this series. I'm thinking maybe a dirty sensor, but I'd like your opinions. Thank you in advance
I bought an Epson V600 at the beginning of The Plague last year to digitize 60 years of slides and negatives. It worked great with my MacBook Pro and the Silverfast software that Epson gave me a link to.
I'm so glad you posted this! It brought back a lot of memories:
Kodak Instamatic (as a kid)
Mamiya-Sekor DTL-1000 in High School and college - shot, developed and printed a lot of B+W
Olympus OM-1 in medical school
Canon AE-1 as a wedding gift from my wife
Moved to digital with:
Canon EOS 10D
Canon EOS 40D
Leica Monocrom (just 'cuz)
Sony Cybershot RX 10 IV bought for our 25 anniversary trip to Sicily
Canon EOS 80D
For those of us who miss The Far Side, there is an official website that posts classic cartoons:

I would appreciate input on what Mac laptop to purchase. I have always shied away from them but after my last Dell purchase less than 2 yrs ago and output of $1100.00 for upgrade of storage ect., I have decided not to get another as I have had it crash and repaired too many times this year.
Being a large frame camera photographer, I am interested in what model Mac you use or suggest.
Thanks for the input.
Whatever you might be interested in, there is an upcoming Apple event on 11/10, at which they may announce new computers, or new versions of existing ones. You might want to hold off until then, in that you may very well be able to get one of the current models for less, or a newer model that strikes your fancy.
FWIW, I use a 15" MacBookPro and it fits my photography needs well. Get a 2TB drive if you can afford it, or an external drive for photo storage.
I needed an autofocus repair on a Canon 300 F4, and I sent it to:

It was not inexpensive, and because of Covid it took a fair while, but they did a great job. I would recommend contacting them.
