I'm going to sign off early. I have to run to the hardware store to pick up a jug of water for the cooler before training. We ran out last night. I used to filter the tap water but the jug water has more calcium in it and I can use that.
Everyone have a good day and great weekend if I don't get online.
Stay safe and well, or feel better soon.

I’ve got no news. 📰 today. Except that we are in thick foggy smog…..can hardly see anywhere. Safer in doors 🚪. Wendy has had the nurse this morning. 🌅 Martin was told by the caterers that she had a fall yesterday, so they’d gone to see her, and she says she feels a bit better today. I hope so. 🤞 I’m going to do a jigsaw now. Love yawl and stay safe…….our troubled sisters 👯‍♀️ I’m sending hugs. See you tomorrow

I hope today is a brighter day.
I hope Wendy is also better today.
Sending hugs back.
Love you Susan

I could smell something the last 2 days radiating from my fridge, checked the vegetable crisper and all was well. The shelves looked ok too, but alas, a piece of old broccoli had fallen behind a dish.. culprit found!

Oops.. Nothing like the broccoli smell!

I'm getting gutters with leaf guards put on the roof and porch... those are expensive! He said the leaf guards strengthen the length of the gutter so when the snow curls over the snow guards there is less chance of them ripping off. The fire dept across the road seems to be keeping theirs on so there must be something to it... xox

They do. We have had leaf guards on our porch eaves for years now. They even allow us to put the ladder up against the eaves to fix the Christmas lights. The leaf guards also minimize the amount of ice in the eaves so freeze/thaw cycles don't break the eaves.

The first measles death in 50 years has occurred. It was a 5 year old boy who had not been vaccinated. We have more measles cases now than we have had in the last 50 years.

The sunshine is back yay, so good morning all from a sunny Norfolk. Might do some bread making sometime today if I stay in the mood. Spent most of yesterday afternoon sewing up my little cardigan and doing the button bands, just the collar to do now then go and look at my new yarn and decide what to do next. Still not heard anything from DH so presume all is going well. Have a good day, find at least one thing to enjoy if you can. xx

Well done getting your little cardigan done.
I love the smell of baking bread.
No news is good news?
Enjoy your day.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:52 am EDT and 14'C (57'F) going up to 20'C (68'F) It was supposed to be raining by now, but the storms have got caught over Lake Huron to the west, so now rain and thunder is not forecast until after lunch.
I have virtual training today. I was able to log into the training site yesterday, but they wouldn't let me do anymore than that until today. I'm hoping everything works I REALLY don't want to get on the highway and drive to Whitby. The highways are clogged with long weekend traffic since this is the first official long weekend of summer. I got a taste of that taking the highway home from Knit Night. It was stop and go even from Cobourg to Port Hope.
Knit Night was full of the regulars, plus a couple of new ladies. I showed my piece that I had to frog. I'm the only one who did the DK version. Everyone else is doing the sock weight version. I'm making my sleeves a little longer because mine is heavier. I still have lots of yarn leftover. Almost enough to make a second one.
I also bought some yarn to make a summer top that only cost me $30 CAD for 3 skeins of cotton/alpaca/nylon yarn.

Neither, just mix meat, onions, breadcrumbs, eggs and anything else (curry, paprika, cayenne, garlic, any or all) make into patties and usually heat them up in the oven. xx

That sounds like our "meaty things" We mix the meat with finely chopped mushrooms, paprika, cumin, eggs and breadcrumbs. We either pan fry or barbeque, depending on weather. (I miss the onions because of DD.) Sometimes I cover mine in powered onion, but it's not the same.

I'm sure you'll have it perfect (enough) before they come back for another visit.

I haven’t been to Wendy’s today. She is no well enough and sleeping 🛌 in bed 🛌 all day. I’m not sure to let Martian know. To be honest I would think the careers should inform him.

Cassie came this morning, aw bless…..she’s great as you know but the way she does my housework is all different to me….whats with these sprays they us. They never us 🧼 flash and water any more. Nothing gets moved. Still she’s consistent and comes . I went into Karen’s,I couldn’t get in any earlier because they were having an electrician in to give them a quote on re-wiring the house. 🏠 it’s not cheap…… then suddenly Margret came up and we put the world to rights again today. She’s going for filling in the morning 🌅 for her teeth. 🦷 the money they have spent on their teeth over the years could have bought a dental surgery. At least they’ve got teeth….🦷 me who hates dentist, 🦷 only have 4 on the top and 2 loose ones on the bottom, there’s a couple in the gums. I’m so frightened of dentists. 🦷 anyway in this country now, if you haven’t got a dentist, 🦷 then it’s tough……they don’t want anymore patients. Someone’s pockets must be lined with gold.

I think I’ll do a bit of reading 📖 this afternoon. I’m so very much at a loose end still. I’ve still no more news abou my right of way and the bin lorry 🚛, so I feel myself getting upset.

I feel as though the pills the doctor gave me 6 weeks ago maybe working today. Love yawl..stay safe….love your other halves….or please yourselves what you want, you all do anyway if you have any sense 😝 hahaha….lisa nice to see you on here again. Jinx, you’re in the front of my mind. I think a lot about you. Stay safe love ❤️
42 br I haven’t been to Wendy’s today. She is no w... (show quote)

I think the carers should have noticed.
Electricians and plumbers are expensive because they are specialists now. Most provinces in Canada, they have to be certified to work on houses.
I still haven't heard from my dental specialist. I'll try calling next week when I'm on vacation. I'm a "difficult case" which is probably why I haven't heard anything.
Hopefully Andrew can talk to the owner before the next time that the bin lorry comes.
I'm glad that the pills are working and you are having a better day.
Love you back Susan

When they filled the field behind us, it did the same thing. One weed grew and flowered after another. Now it is just tall grassy weeds and bushes and no flowers.
