Going to visit Martha's Vineyard. I am taking my small Canon 50mkll. Lens question, take the canon 50mm 1.8 lens with adapter for everywhere, everything? Or a wide angle, or a 18-150?
Thank for your help.

Are you planning on taking either only indoor shots, where (for the most part) a wider angle lens will do you the most good, or outdoor shots where a longer range zoom will work better? Why not take all the gear you have? Murphy's law says you will miss the lens you left behing the most.

I am not a Canon user, rather a Nikon user, and Nikon makes several lenses starting at 18mm for their APS sensors. I currently use the 18-200 VR and I am satisfied with its performance.
Your 18-150 zoom I am sure will fit you well but do not leave the 50mm f1.8 behind.

If I had to make the decision, I'd take the 18-150.
(I have an 18-200 that lives on my camera.)

I would prefer my Nikkor 18-135.

But his question was related to what he has, not what you would prefer........

If I only were going to take one lens, I would take the 18 to 1:50 for its versatility. When I was shooting with a Nikon crop sensor camera, my travel lens was a sigma 18 to 300, which covered the entire range from wide angle to telephoto. My pictures were plenty Sharp, and I did not mind giving up the extra stopper too. However, the ultimate decision depends on what kind of Photography you do.

I bet the OP would prefer the 18-150 already owned.

Gracias Amigo. All too often an OP brings up choices, A or B. PERIOD. But then someone decides to add in C, D, E and so on.
