It has been awhile but I had a RX100 repaired by Sony.

Try this as a place to start: https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/service?language=en_US

Too many gizmos

You might try spinning the mode dial to the most automatic setting, then zoom and shoot. My wife does that and gets good pictures. She has wasted no time learning the menus and gizmos. Instead, she let "Auto" take the best advantage of the good optics and sensor in that camera.

I like my Sony RX100 VII. I had the original RX100 and liked it too.

What is it about the ZS200 that you are not happy with. My wife has a ZS200D and likes it a lot!

very nicely done. How if I may ask?

If your question is to me, I used the relatively new Photoshop "Remove Tool". That and the new "Generative Fill" tool are the best magic that I've ever seen, used or tried for taking things out of photos that I don't want. Photoshop Elements does not have one that is nearly as good. Nor does Lightroom.

I screen recorded the quick process if you want to see how it works.

I used Irfanview to do a quick removal of the shadows. Spending more time would give better results.

Well done! I didn't see the shadows on the body in my attempt.

Is there any way to save this photo from the intruding reed?

Photoshop's new AI powered "Remove Tool" is quick and amazing. It took only a few seconds to paint on about a half dozen strokes with the tool.

tried Original and JPEG.

As others have written, "Original" is supposed to make a copy without your Develop module adjustment work. JPEG will include your editing work.

Simple question to start. Are any changes that I make to a photo in LRC exportable? Do you have to pick a particular file type such as TIFF etc. Recently exported some stuff to One drive and does not look like the changes saved to it.
I am exporting to a new external San Disk Hard drive and also some stuff will be moved to One drive. Thanks for the help with your advice on the hard drive. Ended up with a San Disc 2 TB travel drive. Love it.
Thanks,

What were your export settings?

Since nobody has posted to this thread, I got curious. A quick look at B&H seems to suggest this one:

For those of us with lesser cameras (!), keeping a spare card in the case, bag or pocket is the only solution.

Most cameras connect to TVs with HDMI cables. Most TVs now have a USB port that will accept SD card readers and you can use the TV remote to "play" the files.

For me, the easiest way is to put my camera files on my computer. Lightroom Classic makes that convenient. I can then use the computer's "casting" tool for a TV display. It is also easy to copy selected files, or a completed video to a USB "thumb" stick to plug in to the TV.

Wireless connections are less common. Nikon says you can do it: https://www.nikonusa.com/learn-and-explore/c/tips-and-techniques/z-series-wireless-connectivity-options

"How to Connect Directly to a Computer

The Z series cameras also let you connect directly to a Mac or Windows-based PC—using two different options, depending upon your needs. You can connect directly from camera to computer using Wi-Fi—this is called Access-Point Mode. Another option is Infrastructure Mode, where the camera connects to a computer using a wireless router or already established wireless LAN (local access network)."

I'm for Premiere Elements; I can edit frame by frame, getting my short clips exactly the way I want them. Good price, too, and plenty of video tutorials to learn from.

And, as a bonus you get my personal attention! I've been checking the Adobe Premiere Elements forum about twice a day for years. There are four other regulars. We team up to make sure the questions get answered quickly.

Access to the forum is in the Premiere Elements Help menu.

Do you mean the camera is connected to an external power source - like a portable battery? If so, that's a good feature. Video cameras can often do that. If I record a two-hour play, the standard battery may or may not last long enough, so connecting an external powerpack is ideal.

Yes, a rechargeable, portable battery pack with a USB out.

My current Samsung, DJI and Sony cameras will charge or run on USB power. USB "power bank" batteries work well for when the shoot is long or the extra battery time is needed for timelapse shooting. Apparently, "power delivery" cables might be needed.

All are going to require a learning curve.

The learning curve can be pretty flat if you focus on the essentials in any NLE.

I taught a class in my retirement community last year. First we learned the common workflow and some terminology. With that, my 'students' could put together a basic video in DaVinci Resolve after watching a focused 15 minute YT video.
