I saw some interest in military aircraft earlier and thought I would pull out some from the archives. These are not too old, but all are in the Air Force Museum in Wright Patterson AFB.
Like these Hudgens 49. Will have to check but I might have one of the Memphis Belle from an air show in New Orleans.

I remember seeing the Memphis Belle on display in Memphis back in the late 50’s, early 60’s. It was at the entrance of a park or something. Several years ago I met Col. Morgan while he was in Atlanta. Very interesting man. He did say the Memphis belle was just an old girlfriend. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation.

I worked on the Columbine when I was in the Air Force in the late 50's.
There are some historic aircraft there. Bockscar dropped the second A Bomb on Nagasaki, and Columbine was a presidential aircraft (either Truman or Eisenhower, I forget which).

The first one of an AC130 and the last one of the F4 got my attention. The Phantom I loaded weapons on and the AC130 is the one I always wanted to serve on, but didn't happen.
Nice sampling. There are whole books of aircraft nose art and in my opinion the best, and usually most risqué, are on WWII fighters and bombers. Some of them were created by highly respected artists of the day whose talents were in extremely high demand. A lot of interesting history behind nose art.
