Jack - I see a ten-foot hill in the distance That's a mountain for us

When I went to California back in the 80s to visit my friend, I was amazed by the rolling, green mountains everywhere. He laughed and told me they were foothills

Yeah I know Joe. I lived just outside of Indianapolis in the 70s. I used to sit out in my lawn chair in the late afternoon, with a beer in my hand, and watch the storms move in from 100 miles away while I waited for the fireflies. Miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles.

Nice shots, Joe. The first is my favorite; it looks as if it's been ground off, ready for resurfacing.

I came back from Toronto through Canada, and I never saw anything so flat as that area where the expressway stretched, for miles and miles

I love the colors! Speaking of resurfacing, your road crews in Indiana have been putting in roads around my place at Fish Lake. These guys are amazing! They took all the scrapings from the roads by us and raised by 6-8 feet a mile-long road that was running through what, in the course of years, turned into wetlands that forever flooded. It blew me away! These guys do miles in the matter of a couple of days. Tons of roads around me! The same work in the Chicago area would have traffic backed up for a year or so
