With the past few days postings it appears this site needs to be re-named: "Guns and Ammo and BTW a Few Words About Photography".
How has this happened? Aren't the editors reviewing postings any longer?
For we photographers it is a waste of bandwidth.
Which posts are about gun and ammo???? I don't see any.
Cambriaman, You haven't posted a photo in a "photography" section of UHH since October 2021, and only two since 2019. Shame on you for complaining.
It appears that Photo Gallery saw
fifty new topics posted yesterday. I assume there were also a bunch of new topics in the sub-gallery Birds + a sprinkling in the volunteer-managed sections. Maybe time for you to learn how to navigate UHH in order to have a more personally satisfying experience?
btw, in Photo Gallery any photo of any
thing - even guns - is allowed...as long as it's not a naked human
I have never seen a post about guns or ammo on this forum.
Since I never go to the gallery I don't know but if someone posted photo of his guns I still think it's about photography. Now since you said it, I am going to go there and see.

Troll - Troll - Troll - Troll - Troll
CAUTION: This is a troll alert!
Now that I saw Dennis photos I think it's OK to consider them photography.

Why should pictures of guns be forbidden but pictures of old cars not. Different hobbies for different folks. Is there any implication that the guns should be misused? No, just skillfully taken pictures of guns, some of historical significance to some people.

Or flowers or birds, or mountains, or buildings, or fish, or lizards, or .....
Different subjects come up at different times.
The fact that you may not be interested in them doesn't mean that they should not be posted!
If it does, then you could start your own forum and monitor it like a hawk, deleting what you don't want to be there.

Totally agree and all from someone in Idaho. About every 3rd or 4th post on the forum.

There have been a number of photos of guns in the photo gallery. Since they were titled as photos of guns they are easy to identify. Since I wasn’t interested in looking at them I skipped past them without looking. That is a technique you should try.
